D810 - OFFICIAL THREAD

hi bros.. can check... hows this cam low light af?..
Excellent :P As with most DSLRs, it will be able to AF as long as your eyeball can see the object. (Limits of F/8 still applies for sake of the phase detection) Plonk a F/1.4 lens in, you should be good to go for any scenes as long as you pick a good AF point. Some mirrorless system can light amplify and contrast detect focus, but unless you got a tripod, you'll never get a good shot in such a scene anyway.

This were shot last night with a 35mm F/1.8G, wouldn't say its a great example of low light AF, but it was a quick snapshot. Raise arm up, adjust, shoot, bingo on the focus :) [Camera was set at focus priority]

A sample of how much detail you can get from the D810, and the sharpness of the 35mm F/1.8G. My flickr link has the full rez image available, you can read the SAFRA signages below.

Shot at F/8, ISO64, Aperture Priority, -1/3 EV. (I should have done -1EV, feel the original shot was overexposed by the pollution/clouds) Processed from RAW with DXO Optics Pro (D810 support is out 2 days ago!!) Pushed up shadow +10, blacks +10.

What kind of offer? Care to share?

agreed with you. all 3 things are unusable for me, and I have put it aside already.

well, price confirm will drop in the few month, but it will be few months later story.
just pay n enjoy it now, nobody will know what will happen tomorrow.

actually depend on your usage.. people like us who have existing good enough camera will just wait since no hurry.

For me is, I'm so busy with work and no more holiday trip for this year so I just wait for end of year see if xmas will have better deal.

Well that is me and my thinking of coz other have other reason. Mine is very simple buy now also keep in box so I rather let it keep in the shop and buy when I need it hopefully by then will be cheaper.

Hi guys, any recommendation of RRS L bracket for the D810?

Thx.

According to the RRS website, there is a new L plate for the D810 which fits the camera without MB-D12 battery grip. Their existing BD800-L plate can "fit" the new D810 but not optimally and is NOT recommended. The new L plate should be available this month.

May I know which brand and price?

What's the website url?
