Is there a great difference between 36MP & 24MP in term of resolution ?

What screen protector do you guys use on your D800/E? I was looking at the GGS ones and there seems to be three different types. Not sure which one to choose...

This is what i think... Getting a d800 now might save you money in the future since you can use the cam still even they release an upgrade since it is a powerful camera now.. Getting a d600 now might force you to get that upgrade in the future, hencee spending 2 bodies in total...

Anybody agree or what i am thinking is ridiculous? Hehe i still thinking what to get... Confused...

Technology upgrades so fast... Before 16mp is quite huge already, now we are seeing 24 mp cams...next time 36mp camera will be as normal as what 12 or 16mp cams before.

If u know that u want/need a dslr that shoots at highest resolution currently then just go for d800 straight. Buy it shoot with it and enjoy the joy of producing 36mp images.

As a hobbyist, I'm guilty of buying stuff based on wants vs needs. I don't need 36mp, frankly 6mp is enough for me if I just upload 800*600 on websites. For instagram uploads, 2mp is even fine. But I know I want 36mp, so that's how I ended up with one, lol.

I agree.

As a hobby if you can afford now and better go for what you need.

36Mp who dunno your supporting behind, must have a better PC for Raw processing & high speed memory needed and upgrade to be suit of 78mb per each file. (I am shoot Raw)

Once you have decide and buy whatever you can.

If not require at all, just used your mobile phone an shoot it everyday, the photo outcome also as superb.

Every latest electronic gadget have their life spend or tech cycle.

Just for example the D7000 of the overall function feature, image all are meet up 36mp D800 and to be used as crop mode image result.

If you worry to go for D800 now & buy for D600 1st, if not suit to you and put on B&S have much more people's need a D600.

the only small case of decide a better DSLR and not ask you to decide your future wife :)

what's your setup for the flash? i'm really amazed there is no reflection on the glass. how? please how?

Have anyone encounter a big difference in computer slowness when editing 45mb raw file in light room or Photoshop?

Will it slow down a system with icore5 + 6gb ram?

Thanks.

Could be continuous lighting instead of flash? Dunno just a thought.

Hi, it's one SB 900, camera left, high and pointed down at 45 degrees, through a shoot-though umbrella. I held a gold tri-grip on the other side for fill. The positioning of the flash negated all reflections.

You could also try a CPL if you're getting bothered by reflections. It would cut about 1 stop of light, but will give you finer control. :)

Today I join the leagues of millions of D800 users in SG... hehehe ;) :)

Congrats. Wow! At least 1 in 5 people in Singapore have the D800. Must be a world record and another world first for singapore:-)

Hi all

Just upgraded my d700 to d800 on Mon! Only did some test shots but already seen the significant improvement. Got the Pixel Vertax grip(very well made imo),rather than paying exorbitant price for the original one.

All, just bought scan disk Extreme Pro CF card from amazon, when I insert it to D800, it shows Card Err, anyone has any idea?
