As the new D600 is infront of our door now.
I'm wondering which one to go for??
My main shooting purposes is for landscape very rare portrait picture.
Which of these two camera would be more appropriate to me?:dunno:
nightwolf75 said:IMO, the way the d600 is configured, nikon made it very clear that it is for the serious enthusiasts. it has most of the stuff that (IMO) 60-70% of us generally use on a regular basis. so, if you want the latest tech, but don't want to blow a wad, of course the d600.
i am waiting to see the street price for this camera. if you wish to save a penny or two, but still want a FX camera, the d700 prices should be dropping through the floor on buy/sell. the d700 is still a pretty capable camera, and at 12MP the files are also easier to manage especially for those who don't need to print on a regular basis.
Wait sometime the D700 more into FX budget entry level.
daredevil123 said:No need to wait. D700 prices were already very good since 1.5 years ago...
Landscape? D800E!
Landscape? 8x10 view camera, the choice of Ansel Adam and many master photographers. :thumbsup:Landscape with usually 8R prints also D800E? :bsmilie:

Ansel said:Not true mate. You can use PC-E lenses for tilt and shift on DSLR.
you can if you get something like the Horseman LD ;p:bsmilie:I meant you can't shift both the film and the lens plane. Plus, tilt-shift has its limitations. I know because I use the Nikon PC-E 24mm.
