D70S Workshop

I am a beginner and have just attended the workshop this week.

Although I have read the whole manual before the workshop, I still found it very useful and my money well spent. A lot of practical tips and hands on during the 3 hours session.

Steven is there early. So he did not earn that much for the almost 4 hours he spent there.

Why do people wanna pay for classes like these, $20 is a rip off. You mean I pay $20 to have you read the amnual for me and tell me what I can do with my camera? Come on, I can do that a over a cup of tea and some makan (a bowl of noddles or chicken rice) and get to keep a new friend.

Just thick about it $20 x 20 = $400 for the "instructor" to earn wow easy money man. I smell something fishy or maybe a rat. Anyway the class size is too big for any proper instruction.

Just my view, please DO TAKE OFFENCE, I'm offended.

:nono:
$20 rip off?
How about private sch that conducts lesson for 1 subjects???
teaching in a grp of class is not easy, need to prepare materials etc......

hahahahaha.

I only knew about this thread today.

Anyway, participants who went for the workshop knew that I did not spend the 3 hours reading from the manual. Who will be crazy enough to do this? I have got better things to do instead of spoiling my reputation. Crazy!

My objective for the workshop is to share with the participants on how to maximise the capability of the D70/D70s camera to take decent and good images. The essential features of the camera will be highlighted, with hands-on approach. So far, majority, if not all the participants, have enjoyed the session.

It will be really unfair to me  if someone who has not attended the workshop to make such sweeping comments. Anyway, I am used to such stunts in clubsnap. I will just take it with a pinch of salt. As Confucius said: "One rice breeds a hundred men".

Thanks to those who vouch for me. Wishing you good health and happiness.

Life is short. I believe in Karma. So far, I am enjoying myself sharing with my participants. As we shoot more and more, I also realise that there will always be someone better than anyone. No harm sharing.

Oh yes, do drop by Suntec city level 3 foyer for Photo & Imaging Asia. I have got an exhibition there till 4th Sept.

I don't really think it is a rip off. Some people just can't fully understand the manual and fully comprehend what it says. It would be also be worthwhile to know the full functions and perhaps the strong and weak point of the camera, how to use it more effectively, these are not written in the manual. There is a thread as stated below :

http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=124941

A guy with a Kodak DCS760 actually thought it is a 18 Megapixel Camera, when in fact it is just a 6 MP camera which produces 18 Megabytes file. I would defintely recommend this person to go for such a class if he happens to have a D70s.

Don't you think so, Tommon?

Please DO NOT take offence, I am only speaking the true ;P.

Sori....I can hardly breathe. Got photography visitors from Philippines and Malaysia. Also have to wrap up the Singapore International Salon. Also this Photo & Imaging Asia thingy.

BUT, I enjoy the process.

I do not know Steven Yee.

But I am greatly offended by your unwarranted statements on Steven's workshops on the D70.

I do not need to go into details. But I strongly advise you to be more circumpsect in your writings. I was once amused and entertained by your writings. But increasingly I find your bladderings a real annoyance and a disservice to this community.

Where's the nearest low rate parking around there?

;p
since i cant make it on the 18th

Hi,

I dont think there is still available space for the 8th September class as I tried to enrol in that one but its oversubscribe. I initially opted for the 24th September class but got a call regarding it being cancelled. so I opted to push forward to 18th September.
