Autofocus is same, cos using the same Cam900 AF module.

oh issit? thought it had improved performance to be included in the new firmware for D70...

do they have installments plans on cf cards and flash?

I think if the retail store does offer this scheme, it will only apply for products that are more the S$500 in value. If you're planning to get a 4GB or 8GB CF card, perhaps.

if i buy tgt with d70s?

if they quote $1750 w/gst for d70s kit, and i pay by credit card, i just pay that sum with no interest rite?

For some shops, there's a 2% surcharge for credit cards uses. The price they quote for the cameras usually means cash only.

AF uses the body + camera len to work, the firmware only tells the camera how to operate. The bottleneck mainly is still the type of glass used and the AF module.

Try AF on a D70 and D2H and you'll see difference immediately. :)

If pay by credit card with instalment, price will be slightly higher.

MS charge 5%, CP charge 3% extra.

CP, MS do accept cc installment. I think AP also have.

I bought a D70s from Alan Photo SLS. I added a 80x Lexar CF card. It cost me S$1900 inclusive of gst + 4% diners service charge. Now I am paying in installments. He included a free UV filter and offered a very good price for a tripod. Excellent shop I recommend to all, very good customer service.

I had a very bad experience at Square video which is just besides it.

BTW the camera feels great! :)

Forgot to add. A Nikon bag was included in the price too. :)

If you dont mind...

How much do you pay per month? Is there like a fixed contract.. $x x 12 months or sth like that?

Thanks

For diners I think they 6mth, 12mth installments. 0% interest. So just $1900/12 or $1900/6 depending on which installment plan you settle for.

Thanks for the reply.

Anyway, if lets say id like to pay by installment, could i perhaps put in a deposit first.

E.g.
$1900 - $500 deposit
$1400 for installment?

Possible?

Does D70s has USB 2.0 connectivity?

since is interest free. no need to paid deposit $500. Use $500 to buy other accessory. CF card, tripod or camera bag......
