D70s on the shelf ...

alan photo at SLS quote me $1680 (inclusive of GST) for the D70s kit. no freebies whatsoever.

nikon d70 no longer in stock - but the guy said that the price would have been the same as d70s, just with 1 CF card and camera bag as freebies.

Hi guys .. i called the shop "Parisilk" at this afternoon n the boss really told me is $1620 w/GST... now i have abit suspect tat the price isit really wif GST..? as i can see some mention is $1630 w/o GST.. Maybe i given the wrong info liao .. i apologize for tat.. :cry:

I had gone to a shop in Peoples Park, forgot the name (but starts with Tan.. on the second level). He quoted me $1600 without gst for D70s. He is a authorised Nikon dealer.

Wicked? Why? I think shops will honour their prices when you go and ask personally. Prices given on phone may or may not be honoured, unless they are AP, CP or other reputed shops.

*ahem* i wun know about the shop you quoted..
best is to have a printed out black and white the price they quoted you.. Cannot go wrong.
anyway.. 'wicked' is used losely to mean 'cool', 'fantastic', 'steady lah', 'wah' not wicked ->evil-> dishonest..

They accept DBS, OCBC, CitiBank cards instalments.

anyone had the chance to play with a D70S yet? i know the specs are the same, but at the risk of sounding stupid, how's the feel? improved autofocus? shutter release cord?

Autofocus is same, cos using the same Cam900 AF module.
