Glad that u like it.. Im currently aiming for 28-105, old lens, since my budget quite tight. So i will try to use old old lens, push pull mode, heavy tank lens.. Is there anyone using old lens? Mind sharing..

One of the older lens I've owned was the 35-70 f2.8, also push pull. Served me pretty well till I decide to upgrade.

50mm 1.4

Fellows i am quite happy with 35mm 1.8 and thinking of buying 50mm 1.4g. Mainly for indoor use.

Will it be worth it ? Dramatically better than 35mm 1.8 ?

Any recent price quotes please.

Thank you

I love those old manual lens, superb built n quality. My latest collection, nikon 50-135mm ais, and 100-300mm ais. Very sharp. Love using them, i find it more rewarding to shoot and getting the result - more rewarding compared to auto focus lens. i like the tank built and the weight, solid and feel securely rested on my hand. However, one may need some strong hand to handle the weight for long hour shoot. the picture i take with this lens, its really taken by me, with my skills, not assisted by AF. But, AF come inhandy in certain situation. Will be collect those good old sharp manual lens. Love them simply.

While I was changing lens, my toddler put his hands inside camera and ran with it.

Pictures are since then blurry when I zoom in.

Could it be his finger marks on the sensor or mirror ? How to clean ? Never done that before, not sure if self cleaning will be safe ?

Pleaseeeeeee advice soon. Thank you.

Wew.. That's the worst thing happen.. Try to see whether ur sensor got fingerprint mark or ur lens.. The bset way is yo send it to Nikon Service Centre and have them clean it for you. If you want to clean yourself, buy sensor cleaning kit. Usually comes with a cotton swab to brush the sensor.

Anyway..
Good luck..

can try cleaning yourself. I have both sensor swabs and lenspen sensorklear. sensorklear is the same thing as lenspen, just that it's way smaller for cleaning the insides. just be gentle, won't spoil your cam one.

Im thinking how is our bro d7000 now... Hehehe..

What would you like to buy next, if you already have a 18-105 and 35mm1.8...

Speed light sb700
Or tamron 17-50 f2.8

I'd get both. Because I use both the Tamron and the SB-700.

But since you have the lens to cover the focal range of the Tamron, the SB-700 seems more of a value add, assuming you need a flash.

Im using 28-85 f3.5-4.5 with metz af 50-1..
I tried my friend sb-600..
Dont really like it..
Hehe.

IMHO, 18-105, 35mm, next get 12-24..
If you like landscape.. Hehe

True. Get rid of the 18-105 though, if you getting the tamron. A flash is good to have, SB700 is a good mix of the new sb900 and the old sb-600. I used to hate using flashes because of experiences with the on-board flashes. Photography is about light and when there is none that you like when you are taking your shot the External flash is your knight in shining armor.

Flash first. Makes a diff to the pictures. Then lenses in future. I'd keep the 18-105 for travel use. Versatile range.

Agree.. Better get flash first.. At least you get use with it and then better lens...

That's true. If you buy the lens first, you may experience some part of the photo abit dark as the big lens will block the internal flash of the cam.

If you are not going to miss 50-105mm, sell the kit lens and the 35.

Then get the Tammy and the flash. This is a good and simple setup.
