I called them almost everyday to check on the status of the battery for d7000. In the end, the estimation time of arrival will be delayed till the end of May which is the earliest.

You can add it in lightroom. Need to set up a output template. But in camera, no. This is because people who care much about IQ, generally dislike time stamping their pics.

Date time info is stored in the exif file though.

In US is only sellin at US$1200 body or S$1500. Somehow I feel why phtographic things in Singapore so expensive one... something is really wrong. We are talking about internation/global products so pricing more or less should be the same. Where the overheads go to ?

Yeah, that fact isn't limited to just photographic equipment. Musical instruments here are pretty darn overpriced. Although i would have to say, sometimes for both musical instruments and photography gear, SOME, items are cheaper.

it's a good thing the d7k is not that power hungry - or the capacity of the battery is a bit high. if it were like my previous point and shoot, i wouldn't be so cool about this delay. we're talking 8 weeks right?

I agree with you tiago, I would have been all hot and bothered by now, if my D7k was consuming lots of battary power! Yup, its 8 weeks of wait alright...hopefully we won't have to undergo an additional 8 weeks of wait.

i didn't buy from the group buy, but i have to agree. the power for D7k is quite fantastic. it lasts for days without charging. neither does it heats up even during charging =D

my first charge lasted 512 shots, 11+ mins of video recording and endless playback. This whole process was thru out 3 weeks. I'm simply amazed by its power!

Actually a brand new batt would be around 50 ~ 70 bucks right ?

i recently had to opportunity to take the d7000 for a test run. All i can say is AWESOME !
Even the sublime detail such as the sound of the shutter is great.
