but too flashy for countries with high robberies lah...

If you're in a country with high robberies, they probably don't know how much your DSLR costs. As long as it's a DSLR, they'll be after it

Hi fellow D7000 users! Just bought mine this afternoon from SLR Rev at Funan. I hope this camera will keep me really occupied while waiting for...em...D800.

Hi guys i too got my hands on a D7000. I bought it tgt with the 18-105mm kit lens. I heard its actually quite a sharp lens. So, i bought it tgt.

Hi Fezqu,
I am having the kit lens too and also bought a 35mm f1.8
The kit lens is very good for city picture taking, a must have for outing.
No harm keeping it ... :)

I guess u can tahan..becus u haven tried constant 2.8 over all focal lengths before.

Anw the 55-200 is relatively slow in focusing, but the range makes it gd for close ups in zoo! I rarely use it and selling it away alr.

How slow isit huh? compared to 70-300

It's not that slow lah, pretty decent and lightweight. Used it for abt 4 mth before switching to 70-300mm VR for longer reach.

Anyone bought their D7000 from DD electronics or Artworkfoto? Safe to buy from them?

I've used the 70-300 before, never touched 55-200 yet.. Very much impressed with 70-300 but the price abit steep..

yea it does not perform well in low light. But at least its more versatile for beginner like me that doesn't know what i wanna shoot yet.

Just to share. i called parasilk and they offer me $1929 for D7000. Since i wanted to get the Aipo dry cabinet and i'm the way to Funan. I bought my Dry cabinet from Alan photo. After making payment for the dry cabinet, i checked with them for their price of D7000. Some guy with mustache quoted me $1930 and i thought $1 different no big deal.

I came back in the evening while on the way to International plaza to fetch my GF. So i went back to Alan and said i wish to purchase the D7000. After checking everything in the package we proceed to make the payment. He said S$1935....
I told him that he quoted me $1930 earlier and he reply me saying, "no la, $1935 best price alr". He than proceed to pass me a UV filter and say $20. Anyway i wanted to get it as well so i agree to it. $5 difference is not much.

The rest of the stuff i think we all know. Ugly bag and wobbly tripod and SDHC 8gb as free gift. Rubbish. And i thought he would give me some cleaning kit like dust blower or something. Well, he wants to make it such a experience for me than it will be the last. I even let him earn the dry cabinet sale
