As long as you're not comparing with Nikkor fast lenses, you'll not be disappointed. AF-wise, definitely better than most kit lenses (can't say all unless I've used and compare them all - comparing with 18-55 and 55-200). I don't shoot in the dark, so can't tell you if it hunts in low light. Then again, our definition of low light can be quite different. What I can say is that I've no issue with AF merely relying on the light source from my 19" monitor. :lovegrin:

Yes, the tammy is attached to my Nik D7K. Can someone advise me on posting photos? Thanks.

I went down to Peninsula Plaza this evening and tried out the Tamron 28-75 with the D7K. Took around 10-15mins shooting around.

First impressions:
Build - It was surprisingly small and light. I actually feel that it will break off easily.
AF - Surprisingly fast and accurate. But without the VR, I guess it takes some time getting used to. Considering that the light isnt as bright as daylight, it was pretty good.
Sharpness - Shot in JPG, set sharpness to 4, according to LCD, it was sharp. (I shouldve brought my memory card with me)

I'm really considering in getting this setup. (D7k+Tam28-85+Tok11-16).

BTT, posting of images, i think you have to upload it in flickr. Once uploaded grab the html/bb code from "share this" button. --not quite sure though.. :dunno: but you can try.

There's another one for flickr but can't find it atm. But, you can use this: go to actions-> view all sizes->select size-> copy link under the download row ->click on insert image icon in post->paste link in between e tags.

just use the blower to blow them off. if can't, and if ur photos are fine, just leave them. else u can always visit NSC but with a service charge if i'm not wrong.

Hi guys sorry to interrupt your discussion, i am in the market for a new camera, and i got my sights on d7000. So when i pass by shops selling cameras i usually ask for a quote.

So last night i went to a camera shop opposite mustafa and they quoted 1850 for d7000 kit.
Isit too good to be true? Given almost every other shop quoted $2k or above. My dad told me better not buy from the shop as it may have some defect or another.

Can i ask you guys' opinion?

Nikon doesnt really allow dealers to undercut market price by so much, so sounds a little fishy to me

errr....u mean sensor cleaning? yes...that's a function in D7000 but not very effective.

Sharing only 'non-private' shots. Check out D7000_DSA_0443 - zoom in to observe the material of the bags.

I need to qualify that I take mainly indoor shots without flash guns. Thus, the ISO and inevitably noise. Details (resolution) is there nonetheless.

Thanks Qwerty, the guy said its a kit, everything in the box that comes with the box, but dint elaborate on local set or not. Sounds abit fishy to me too, thats why i exited quickly, looks like ill get from a proper dealer instead.

Thanks for sharing! It looks to be a great value on the D7k for it's cost compared to pricier alternatives.
