Was told cameras will arrived in 2nd week of Nov. and it already has a waiting list now... (C.P)
Wonders if walk in customers will still be able to get it..

Hey Lumiere, on the topic of hot pixel, if you mind taking a random video of 1080 format and post it up?

Probably a dark location with a high ISO like 1600 and 3200 would be appreciate.

Was so enthusiastic to buy till I saw one of the youtube video, and thought "Well, 1 or 2... "

Referring to this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZSSYi8jZs0

Only after watching another, that guy got 5-6 -_-;;

Really appreciate it >_<;;

Yup I have 5-7 of it...hot pixels on a pan...anyone wants some?

Are you trying to say that the video cannot do panning? looking at the video it turn blur when you pan. How come?:cry: what if you take the camera and walk around.

Yum yum... Thank you.. I'll have...

Wait a min, 5-7 O_O

I'm shivering with fear :cry:

When buying the camera, can any bro share how to properly test the camera body to identify stuck pixels.

Is there a easy method where user can repair/fix the pixel?

Try at ISO 6400, 1/2 sec @ dark scene.

It can be remove in post processing, but some find it a hassle to do extra work. If you return back to NSC, they can do a pixel remapping to mark out those pixel. But it can re-develop over time then you need to send back.

Ok to clear up about the hot pixels. Today I tried again with the video. The hot pixels do not appear when the sensor is not very hot. Meaning most of the time the hot pixels do not appear in my video. However when after it work hard for me in order to do a review, the pixels came out only at the end of the day which is like 6-7 hours later. I do not have the habit to turn off my camera too...

Unless video at night, using high ISO and having the camera turned on for many many hours. then there might be a chance you might have hot pixels...this should be inherent in most of the cameras regardless of brands. However I have never never ever ever seen or know about anyone who shoots video in high iso at night...becoz it would be much nicer to just light up the subject with a video light or led light panel. Why compromise on the quality.

Once again...in a while I will post a photo taken at today's pre-wedding shoot using the D7000 and kit lens.

btw does NPS consider D7000 as a pro body?
tia

D7000 not FX body so dont think they will take it as pro body!

Not true on the statement. They consider D300 as a pro body, even though it's DX :)

:dunno:

:o
Then still got chance! :bsmilie:
Anyway, just wonder why they want to name it as D7000. I thought 4 digits models are more like entry level body. ;p

Whether pro camera or not doesn't matter la. Most important is the photographer's skill.
People like to ask whether the camera is pro body but never ask around whether their skill is pro skill??

You are so right!
Anyone can be rich enough to get the most expensive pro body but they may not have the skills to manage it and use it to its fullness. :bsmilie:

thats another story ..

the fact is NPS only consider 'pro' body.. or maybe heavy body.
not 1 but 2 bodies and 3 pro lens to to be part of NPS.
full time photographer with a registered company

To be a pros is not easy. for example you need to wake up very, very early. :bsmilie:

Seems like Alan Photo is taking their action for selling their D7000 kits. :o

I would hope that they can free 2 x 8GB SD cards rather since there are 2 slots. :D
