Congratulations to the first SG D7000 owner! Your unboxing is... way... too.... tempting....

Will be calling dealer for pricing now >_<

Thanks Paul...in all honesty I'm truly enjoying this little camera. I think my D700 will be neglect for a while becoz now I can record HD video with my D7000.

Hope everyone here can have a piece of this magnificent equipment at a very very reasonable price. Good luck guys!!!

wat lens do u used for videos? and how's its AF for different lens?

Hi ppl,
i am also waiting for D7k body like everyone else. Just now saw the D300S promotion thread also and it makes me thinking whether should go for D300S or D7k coz price difference is not much.
Actually D7k price is already too much for me so just thinking shelling couple of hundreds more will be a good idea or not.
please advise.
just bought Tamron 17-50 VC for my upcoming new body:)

Just wait a while first. From next week onwards, reviews will most likely be out all over the world. So definitely there will be some comparisons. Even if you place order now, you might not get it next week.

I will be attempting to use the D7000 to shoot bridal portraits next tues, wed and thurs.

I believe that I will not have the time to post the images of what I will try with the D7000 and kit lens here. However I will post a couple of the edited images taken with the D7K on my facebook page on each day after the shoot.

you guys can find it here next week. http://www.facebook.com/bryanjeanphotography

This is purely to showcase the camera's ability to shoot professional photos not and an attempt to pull fans so no one is obligated to like my page. Please do note that the images will be edited before posting. I may try to record using the HD video some behind the scenes as well as do a before-after footage as well. Please be patient with me.

Thank you

Hey Lumiere, thanks for sharing with us your experience on this little baby :)

If I am not wrong, somewhere in some thread here that says Nikon Singapore is not intending to bring in Cam body alone.. Is this news correct???

take ur time bro...

anyway so far i've seen really awkward slow focusing, not sure if better lens with faster AF motor have these problems too anot.

after testing the camera..i wish the grip is make like the D300s. definately i'll need to buy the battery grip for heavier lens.

D300s still having promo till end of this month. :bsmilie:

personally, i pretty much like D300s grip and feel...very personal, i guess..
tech specs..clearly D7K outshines D300s in some ways...

i waited sme time for D7K... and after feeling it... i'm with D300s, nevermind it is 1 year old now...

you guys who decided in D7K... enjoy the machine...take great pictures...

Interestingly I felt the same for D300s. D300s feels more expensive (Slightly). But the Devi7k ISO is a WOW WOW factor. Hope more reviews and feedback from more bros soon before spending $$$. Tough choice.

Lumiere: Thanks for sharing. Can share some thought between D7k and D300s.

D7000 ISO6400 is definitely come very close to the FX D700. It hammers my S5pro hand down as S5pro only shines in good light condition below ISO800. D7000 WB also looks good.

it is not just because of the performance that makes it such a great camera. You have to feel good using it. Like DD123 the grip to him is an important factor.
