I might b wrong but it sure looks like a Nikon 80-400mm VR lens
Interesting they display the lenses vertically like that on a display. If someone were to accidentally bump onto the display, those big mama lenses will topple like cards and will be painful for the organisers. :bheart:
Unless if they are dummies and not real lenses.
so sad.i thought it is some new lens with vr...
wait for photokina

i think they are in glass casing like those in the background.
Yes, all the cameras and lenses were housed in a large transparent casing. No one can really knock down anything.![]()

Yes.
From the "usual fairly-accurate rumors (galore) forum", it seems so.
Replacements for both the 24-120mm VR as well as the 70-200mm VR.

Scroll down to "Photokina rumors".
I'm eating my own words now; having said that Nikon usually doesn't come out with so many lenses in one calander year.
You are right not 8 Aug, nothing can overshadow our National Day but in the month of Aug.
We are in the planning process, some peek into it.
An out door event, full day and on Sat or on Sun
Something that is action packed, but no XMM or model shoot (since there are already plentiful in the organised shoots and workshop)
that's all
Back to D700, my bad it will hit the retail stores on 25 Jul not 24 Jul..... one more day of wait ;p
It will be more itchy on 22 Jul when you touch it.... :sweatsm::sweatsm: just bring cheque book to CP or Lords and pre-order now lah
