Interesting they display the lenses vertically like that resting on small base on a display. If someone were to accidentally bump onto the display, those big mama lenses will topple like cards and will be painful for the organisers. :bheart:

Unless if they are dummies and not real lenses.

My Wife just ask me last week if we want to plan for a short trip in August, I just called her just now to say " no lar, work too busy":devil:

so sad.i thought it is some new lens with vr...

IMHO, Nikon has a very strong line-up of lenses for normal usage already, so they are focusing on the specialty lenses like the latest PC-E Micro Nikkor 45mm f/2.8 and PC-E Micro Nikkor 85mm f/2.8. I did not see any other new lenses apart from these two.

Yes, all the cameras and lenses were housed in a large transparent casing. No one can really knock down anything. ;)

i was hoping for new 6-600mm vf afs.

Yes.

From the "usual fairly-accurate rumors (galore) forum", it seems so.

Replacements for both the 24-120mm VR as well as the 70-200mm VR.

Scroll down to "Photokina rumors".

I'm eating my own words now; having said that Nikon usually doesn't come out with so many lenses in one calander year.

wait for photokina

i do hope the 70-200 replacement is real though.i really love this lens though it weighs like a brick.

You are right not 8 Aug, nothing can overshadow our National Day but in the month of Aug.

We are in the planning process, some peek into it.

An out door event, full day and on Sat or on Sun

Something that is action packed, but no XMM or model shoot (since there are already plentiful in the organised shoots and workshop)

that's all

Back to D700, my bad it will hit the retail stores on 25 Jul not 24 Jul..... one more day of wait ;p

cool! looking forward to it. hmmm......F1 related? since it's quite near that time.....

Holding on till year end bonus ................ by then the prices would probably have softened abit ............... :)

It will be more itchy on 22 Jul when you touch it.... :sweatsm::sweatsm: just bring cheque book to CP or Lords and pre-order now lah

but my cheque book currenly in a state of rubber......... need more time for it to turn to liquid....
