I just think that the full frame production line isn't ready yet.

Quality might be another issue if we are really facing a major shift in factory.

meantime I'll stick closely to my miJ d700... some friends offer me liao but on second thoughts.... nah,
unless its d800=d3x in d700 shell! Haha

i'd hope a d700s with d3s sensor. per the review, it has about 1.5 stop high iso advantage over d3/d700 which is amazing. 24mp? nah.. just bigger files, bigger storage space and faster computer to process so i will be sticking to my d700 if they do

To summarize what the guy said:

1. Response was cold for the mirrorless - so use the P7100 instead.

2. We are already kicking Canon's arse and is number 1 - no need to improve in a hurry, will sit on laurels for a while first.

So don't expect much even if the rumoured Sep announcements do materialize.

1) all DSLR's will either be made of white plastic of brushed aluminium
2) cut out "redundant" features e.g autofocus and matrix metering
3) DSLR app store will open *please sign in with an existing apple ID*
4) iphone and ipad integrated

Patent 2011-085674 filed by Nikon in Japan is for GPS enabled battery grip (there were some rumors several months ago that the D700 replacement may have such GPS enabled grip):
