D70 users

Has been with me since it launched and still clicking.

i would say the D70/D70s strong point is its ability to keep shadow details to be brought out during PP
this plus its never die energy consumption

but i switched to a D80 mainly because of the viewfinder and the lower noise

Exact same sentiments. But I still using D70.... Have to bear the noise and the dark viewfinder. Sometimes it can be quite painful to the eye when I use manual lens.

I am still using a D70 too

D70 with 720nm IR  love my cam.

This can really make me tear...:bsmilie:

d70 user here!
but i have problem, CF often get corrupted after shooting, then can't transfer the files..
lose all the pictures...
have same problem with dark VF...haha!

D70 user here too! Its still going strong, so no reason to upgrade (aside for the itchiness to upgrade :bsmilie:)

It was 2004 when I got my D70. After 25K+ shutter counts, she is still going strong. Always fitted with the Tokina 11-16, outdoor UWA are just superb. But now, she has compete with the D300. Maybe, holding the latter is only to polish my ego. Yet, she is always my first love with Dslr. How could you "love new, forget old"?:bheart:

This is my camera as well and still happy with the shots I made, 86k SC and still counting...

it is because of the noise resulting from high ISO, according to your EXIF, you were shooting at ISO 1600 (not 800), which is the highest ISO on a D70, that's why they are noisy.

why do you still need to use high iso when you are on tripod? try again with iso 100, aperture of f8-f11, on tripod of coz. you will see the difference.

alrighty thanks for the tip..i did set iso800 but internally was iso auto. Seems like it didnt overwrite at the time

Good learning experience though!
