Let's not start saying that the D70 is not a great camera - ok, it's got a slight glitch but show me an electrical product that doesn't. My IPOD is a disgrace - 15 months old and already the battery is knackered and it causes my computer to crash when I dock it. And as for my PC, who's never experienced a glitch with their computer? Or printer?
So, yeah, I was a bit shocked to get an error message but I'm not putting my D70 up for sale yet!!
Hehe, there are some weak hearted people here. I believe some random early D70 sets have this circuitry problem that cause the shutter to react irrationally. If u have this problem, just bring it to Nikon to replace the electronic component.
