Don't think there can be an improvement in the battery-life indicator to have the functionality like the D2 series via a firmware update. Need some hardware in the battery to do the accurate charge measurement.

Sorry just to clarify, how come I can only update the B?

After the update, my still shows as:

A: 1.01
B: 2.00

I've tried download the files from nikon again. tried copy to CF via card reader, and via nikon cable. Still the same.

Problem solved. I deleted the DIN file for B, left with only the one for A, insert the CF in D70, ....and ok already. :bsmilie:

u need to update A and B seperatly ... and ..

in order to update A, u need to make sure ONLY the firmware update file for A is in teh cf card .. otherwise it may simply keep updating B ...

after the update, regardless of which dial mode i am, why my AF-C/AF-S option and AF area mode seems to be disabled. (custom setting 02 & 03). Does tat happens to u all? :dunno:

I also had the same problem, it updated the B part, but didn't do the A part. I just deleted the B file after updating, then it could recognize the A file and get updated !

The menu looks cool also the RAW number count has increased with the new firmware.

no buddy... Mine works perfectly in A mode, not try others..

delete all the folders and pics and just keep those two bin files in the CF card. Point to be noted no other folders or files

Nikon upgraded it for me when I sent it for CCd cleaning!
