I have a question for those who own or have owned a 3rd party battery grip for a Nikon camera: if you have assigned AF-ON to the AE-L/AF-L button, does the config carry over to the same button on the 3rd party battery grip?

I found that for the Pixel D600 battery grip I bought from Artworkfoto recently, the AE-L/AF-L can't be re-programmed. AF-ON won't activate (viewfinder indicator shows AE-L when I press the button on the batt grip). It works just fine with the AE-L/AF-L button on the body.

It does happen but some sellers may impose restocking fees to discourage frivolous returns.

I guess most of these shops have a back to back return policy with distributors to ensure they are covered.

I doubt they do, it's a camera and not a computer item. The reputable online retailers like Amazon UK and DE don't impose restocking fees.

Nice shot wolfton, however I find it just a tiny bit too saturated to my eyes. Otherwise, I love the picture. Very detailed.

By the way, anyone tried setting the camera to burst mode when on timer mode? i.e take continuous shots when timer is on? not sure if this could be done....wanna experiment some shots. If you tried before, please share how to set it up. Thank you

For example, for self portrait, set up tripod and put the shutter delay timer at 10 seconds. After expiry of the 10s, the camera will click. My question is whether we can set it to burst 3 clicks or it can only do 1 click when in that mode.

But you may consider the following method using the wired remote control or the interval shooting mode found in the camera.

I went this route, I can safely say the answer is a huge yes for me. Once you go to LR to process the files, you will appreciate the difference even more.

End of the day, some find it worthwhile, some don't. If you rarely shoot, I will suggest you to just stick with the D7000 and buy some good glass if the money die die must spend. If you already found out what you lack in the D7000 and have the budget and shoot regularly, by all means upgrade.

Haha, I guess I am one of the few that still love the camera a lot even with the dust issue. Maybe I used it too much liao, the loves crushed the hate

If you compare the design of the two bodies, you can almost tell from a glance that D600 was design for D7000 users who wants to step up to FX. Keeping most interface as close as possible (even U1 & U2), you should feel right at home with a FX sensor instead.
