Eye cups help to cut off external light sources and distractions, .....
Sensor cleaning wise, you really need to try it in a very quiet situation like at night......

Soft-screen protector why not consider GGS? I pretty like the build.

Ahhh ic, thanks for clarifying.

Ive read a bit on the ggs protector... Im pretty impressed with how clear it looks. But since its glass, is it brittle? They seem to have 2 versions, glued on and fix on. I think the glued on would be better since dust cant get inside.

Anywhere tat sells it for d600 now?

I use MF. Takes a bit of practice, but you can get it done.

I tried a bit of mf once a while, but i cant do it too long. My eyes gets tired. Maybe it will be better with focusing screen hahaha

Are there any 3rd party focusing screens out yet?

Not sure about tat.. I dun use it myself.

Good news for D600 user here,
the D800 GGS Main LCD size is exactly the same, just used the D800 GGS on D600 1st,
if you cannot wait :)

TK Foto stocks some GGS stuff, can call them to check if they have the D600 version yet.
If you're not in a rush to get it, can usually get on ebay too.

I went to TK not long ago, asked for the GGS for D600 but apparently they don't have it in stock since the D600 is relatively new..

Ahh not surprising... Maybe gotta wait a while

So the ggs III is the clip on type, where as the older versions is glued on, can anyone confirm this?

Which is better? Anyone has experience?

Don't think it's out yet. When I got my D4 I had to order from alibaba instead as TK wasn't able to get stock (and yes, there's actually no practical usage in getting it for a D4 that's that rugged, but oh well...)

Try shashinki.com, they had for D4 but the delivery charges was a turn off. TK now carries stock for the GGS for D4.

Thx all for reply. How about glued-on or clip-on better? Or its just a individual Preference thing

I guess it boils down to personal preference, but also personally like the clip-on ones, as they are made of glass and offer more protection

What i meant to ask is, is the gss clip-on or gss glued-on is better :)

Stick-on gss oso glass, jus get frm ebay cheap, ships frm hk..

I would assume the hard one would offer better protection, but for optical quality of the LCD screen, both would be just as fine. Either way, you can't judge photos from the LCD screen so I am leaning more towards protection.

Btu are same material, both are same brand ggs. Just tat 1 is glued-on and the other is clip-on

Im just trying to ask thru user experience which is better....

Local D600 set dropped below the $2,500 mark :)

Right, some time ago. :)

Ahh.. I see. Didn't know that. I asked for a quote today and I was shocked when I see the Nikon Price List.. apparently some bros still buy it at $2680 during Dec 12 :o

The debris/lubricant issue still keeps me away even at $24xx.
