I am in too but to NSC. Discovered some "dust detail" on left top of my photo that I shot Sunday. Went to NSC this afternoon and show the photo to the service lady. She never even check where I bought it and straight bring to their tech to check. Cleaned the sensor and I tested ok then she registered my record. IMO Good service.
My advise is avoid change u lens outdoor specially windy day. "I did it when I was at Genting last week, bad habit."

Yeah I noted too. I turned off all in camera settings, including NR. How about yours?

That said, I certainly will not have any hesitation to print a big print from this camera for pictures taken at high ISO.

Hi this was at late afternoon indoor at the entrance leading to a small alley. No flash was used.

Yup I turned off all the in-camera corrections (CA, vignetting, distortion) and also turn off NR.

Haha anyway that is not a concern la, it is alteady clean enough for prints. Maybe some pros can advise how come there is a bit of difference in the pics

No bro nothing. The default program by Nikon don't have NR, my LR still cannot import pics. So everything is as is, other than slight tweak in exposure n saturation (less than 3 mins work )

I've been told that Nikon's ViewNX2 can process RAW. In any case, I convert them into TIFF and processed in LR.

Oh, I convert straight to jpeg. Later I try, thanks for the tips no wonder I keep seeing people in Flickr processing pics taken with D600 with LR4, now I know Liao

But note that TIFF operations in LR is limited - you can't directly key in a value for WB but still can be corrected via other means, and there is no lens profile for barrel distortion.

Hi All,

I have just bought the D600, together witht the 3G fixed lens, 28G 1.8. 50G 1,8 and 85G 1.8. Fantastic camera and lens!!! Moving on from X-Pro1, the D600 is definitely more high tech and feature-packed.

The manual is so thick and the features are so "complicated". Would appreciate if clubsnappers can share their favourite features and settings. Thanks so much!!!
