It's supposed to be cheaper than the D700....

But we're debating about something that hasn't happened yet. I think that's rather inane so let's just leave it at that.

Just wait for 1 more week for the Dubai press conference.

Do you think for recent products, all just like buying branded LV bag?

Got new products coming up and everyone go and get it on hand.

After not hot already the price to be go down..

Just saying something experience in the new products..

The sad thing is that most treat photography like chasing gears and trend...

but many still do not see that what really and only matters is the image...

There are merits to this. If demand is sufficient, manufacturers can achieve greater economies of scale, and thereby, possibly, lower prices for consumers.

I'm not talking about disposable cameras, although it would be amusing if digital cameras do become disposable.

I am simply talking about a development of a new consumer based market that may lead to lower costs, and thereby, possibly, lower prices.

Well, to some extend, you gotta chase equipment. For example, current day sensors make low light photography a much better prospect than it was a few years ago.

But yeah, I agree. At one point, everyone has to hit the realization that they can't blame bad images on the equipment anymore and it's all down to their lack of skills (And then strive to improve upon those).

Or could D600 very well be like 'THE WAIT' for D800, where leaks & rumours surfaced soon after D700 was launched, back in 2008...lol

I don't think so. Sony has a new 24MP full-frame sensor so Nikon has to use it.

I'm pretty sure the Nikon D600 is for real.

Problem is, all companies aim to maximize stockholder's value ... aka profits.

I second to that....
