I would not get the first few batches. Seeing how the D7000 and D800 has problems with the first few batches, I would rather wait for them to work out any bugs.

If my unit has an issue I simply exchange it for a new one or take my money back. Ops, I forgot I live in Singapore. Damn...

u need include in shipment charges, warranty $, plus this plus that, mark up another 50% profit. which translate probably to 2.5k to 2.8k. i would reckon take the initial launch of d700 price. and pricing should be there.about

It's supposed to be cheaper than the D700....

But we're debating about something that hasn't happened yet. I think that's rather inane so let's just leave it at that.
