How much does NSC charge for sensor cleaning? Thanks.

My shutter count is 10k now and I just sent it for servicing. Lets see whether the "after 3k shot dust will be gone" is true or not.

Quote from someone's comment at NR :
"This is the most ridicuous thing I have ever heard from a camera company. I love Nikon but don't see how Nikon can sell a $2,000 with such a problem. More ridiculous are all the people that are buying the D600 knowing this is an issue."

totally agree

You buy what suit you and what suit you may not suit me. If this is a concern for you, then don't buy. I have the first batch of D600 and the spots don't bother me, at least not much. I love this camera for its image quality. I don't take many photos with small apertures, btw.

dust can blow... but more worrying is the oil stuff..... is it that bad??.... getting ready to buy... just wanna to find out how bad the situation is... and from which aperture number the problem will start to show??? f11? f14??

Totally agree. Your money is in your own pocket. No one can force you to buy what you don't want.

So far no issue for me, or don't bother me yet. Why worry so much, I'm more worry of not using the camera to take better pictures.
I love my first DSLR, after inheriting my father's FM2, and not in touch with SLR camera for 10 over years.

buy n shoot and be happy rather than worry abt it to no end and nvr shooting.

jus go to NSC to clean

Mine is past 10k SC and is in NSC too for general servicing and cleaning. Keeping my fingers crossed.

On a lighter note, I won't get free cleaning in the future when this problem is solved :bsmilie: Am quite a heavy user btw

was at the service center yesterday..was told that there's a fix for this issue but would take 3 working days.. will be sending in my camera tmr morning
