No idea, I never bought anything there.Probably grey from the looks of it. Come to think of it, how many shops at Peninsula are official Nikon retailers?

Camera Workshop at Peninsula advertised their D800E at $3800.![]()
I think it depends on the source. You would need to produce both the relevant warranty card and proof of purchase. I think you would fail the "proof of purchase" portion as Technogadgets is not a licensed distributor in Singapore, and that your product was purchased in Singapore, but sourced from somewhere else.
I am not familiar with the exact rules, and this is simply my best guess.
NIKON WORLDWIDE SERVICE WARRANTY (For film products and lenses)
1. Your Nikon product is guaranteed against any manufacturing defects for one full year from the date of purchase.
2. To validate the warranty card, you are requested to fill in all necessary information (owner’s name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and date of purchase) on the front. The warranty card together with the original purchase receipt must be presented to the Nikon authorised service facility before any repair can be made under warranty.

Doesn't sound like you could 'fail' that portion as they don't have a list of 'approved' international retailers.

Guys
I need your experts opinion here :B&H / Adorama is having a promotion: D600+24-85 VR + SD card, Lowepro bag, extra bag.. for US$1996. After 7%GST and shipping (Comgateway/Bdlnx) it could be roughly ~S$2.8k. Good deal ? understand that US warranty can also be honored in Sg
Thanks in advance for ur inputs!!!
Problem is when you buy grey,
1) they will never give you the Nikon warranty card,
2) You only get a local sales receipt, not an overseas one from an authorized dealer in the country where the lens is originally distributed to.
So you can't possibly validate your missing warranty card, with no real receipt to validate it with.

Get locally might save the hassle. Unless the savings are $1K and above like the D4, else, not really worth considering. Just my 2c.

I like to know that, too.
Best you ask the grey sellers.
