D5100 user...fall in!!

If you have noticed mainly in all Nikon manuals, the recommended brands are usually Sandisk, Toshiba and Lexar.
I think memory cards are one of the only commonly "approved" camera equipment to purchase from IT show. Along with eastgear's MAHA battery charger.
only on first 2 days bah. sat n sun, forget it... you may end up with broken lenses! :bsmilie:

i just bought d5100 few days back.. but i got a problem.. not too sure if it's my camera or the memory card..
after taking a few shots, the camera will prompt me "No SD card inserted" or "No memory card inserted" eventhough there's memory card in it..
i have to take out the memory card and insert it again.. but the problem will come back after few shots again..
anyway, im using SanDisk 8gd speed 4 memory card..
Can anyone help?!?!??!

try reformating the card.
go to the menu, theres should be a function inside that lets you reformat the card.. but transfer the card's contents to your PC first coz reformatting will cause all the card's content to be erased

My virgin post here hehe. I'm a beginner to the DSLR world and still waiting to get my hands on one. It's sort of a an upgrade from a compact to get better looking pics. I'm likely gonna settle for the D5100 so can't wait to join u guys!
Just wanna check wif the more experienced ones here on the coming Comex. Will I find a good deal there for the D5100? Or shld I go straight to funan now n buy fr one of the established ones like TK? (getting impatient haha!).
Also, is there a chance these shops will come out wif a new price package during Comex season, hence I shld wait till then?

Hmm if I'm buying cam, I won't wait for the comex as price wise is not that attractive also, free gift wise shops in Funan (to me) not much different from it show. Eg SD card tripod bag etc etc. Only free gift from it show I think its good, is the dry cabinet (sometime they will give) ,but price offered in Funan compare to it show can get you a dry cabinet also.
And you won't need to squeeze or wait for your turn to try the camera.
