Oh no... I know what else I will be getting next but not so soon... Lenses,Tripod,filters.. that should be all le yea?
SkimMilk said:dont jump into lenses yet. Tripod, yes, if you need to shoot night shots. Sirui / Benro are good starters.
Filters? Read the filters thread first to see if you really need them now.

Konspire said:BTW, ask u guys, has anyone brought their cams into USS? n if yes, how do u carry it with u whilst enjoying the rides? i'm going but not sure if we can carry bags in the rides, then if leave the bag aside for the rides, i'm afraid that i will be a camera poorer......
saw a lot of ppl taking pictures in USS but not sure if they just use HP or P&S cams......thanks to share some advice on this...
Depends on which rides. For some rides you have to deposit your bags and cameras in the lockers provided
thxs for ur tips, u think it will be safe to deposit it in the lockers? is this locker just pigeon holes near the ride n ride operator or the lockers where we pay like the swimming pool locker?
Konspire said:hehe...yes, thinking of capturing the danga bay fireworks since the marina bay will be packed. dunno can make it or not cos sunday have to wake up early....
Reno said:All fast rides in USS got lockers one. But only free for first 30-45min. No need tripod unless u intend to go nite landscape shoot. Noise control for d5100 is very good, just keep to the 1/focal length rule and u are safe from shaking shots, also provided ur subject not moving too.
Reno said:Must go... One year once only, next day not enough sleep also never mind, still got monday to sleep... Hahaha
Konspire said:Hehe...its true la...well....i'll consider cos i know i really wants to shoot a firework...
One advice required, for firework photo, shld we play with long exposure, normal or multi shots.
Reno said:For firework, bulb mode is used and remote cable release to control shutter timing. Manual mode, manual focus to infinitely, aperture set to F16. ISO set to 100. Time duration 8-10 sec. Hard to explain in words here... Need to show on the spot then understand... Lol
Konspire said:I think i get the picture....i'll try anyways, its like taking pictures on an overhead bridge n get light streaks...something like that? Hahah....
