Btw bro, if u like the internal focus of 85mm, I suggest u should go straight for a 2nd hand 105mm VR. Advantage of FX lens plus the sharpness and contrast of pictures produced by this lens is fantastic.

yups. after u adviced that, i browsed thru....hhmmm....lots of them selling at 1k. a grey copy also selling around 1.1k.....thinking alrdy....maybe instead of getting the 85mm, it wld be better to save up a bit more n get the 105mm instead.....

bro, i'm using the sigma 10-20. price wise is much cheaper than nikon UWA lens. quality wise, hhhmm....maybe my eyes not that expert enough yet to see any difference but so far serves me well...CPL i just get the justacon or something like that the brand....mid range priced ones la....

I'mt thinking to get the 85mm f3.5 for my gf to use 1st and maybe in the future will sell my tamron and top up for 105mm

btw, i saw the sigma 70mm f2.8 macro ex dg lens.....anyone has first hand experience handling it? price seems to be attractive....was found to say to have an equivalent FOV of a 105mm lens....

You mean vitacon? That one is not mid-range, that's a cheap piece of glass that shops use to chop newbies.
