there shouldn't be a problem if nikon wants to use "D200", even if it is already registered by pileco. this is because pileco does not appear to be in the photographic equipment industry (i think) so there will only be very limited public confusion.

for example, if ferrari wants to name their latest sports car the "D70", there shouldn't be a problem as people are unlikely to confuse a car with the nikon D70 camera. however, if canon, sony, minolta etc would like to name their newest product the "D70" (especially if it's a camera), then there's a high probability that consumers may be confused and the trademark will not be allowed.

i believe too theres no point in continueing a thread about rumours about the upcoming D50 or the what ever model. simply because, the speculation here is simply pointless.

if Nikon Singapore requests that the thread be removed for a reason, then as ClubSnap members, we should respect the Mod's action in locking and removing the thread.

Simple theory, if someone writes about you, in a way that it doenst reflects you, and it describes u so obsurdly that u are so degraded. what will you do ? and happens that the person described is actually you.

of course u will want a public apology and a recall of the magazines or what every thing that was published rite ?

simple. if its a rumour, let it be. see it, forget it. eventually it will be the final product that is important. who cares whether it looks like a F55 or a F6. no point looking around for places to post rumours in the upcoming models.

its not that i am reprimanding or what-so-ever. its just that i feel that we as members should respect the Mod's decision. If its on request on Nikon Singapore. then we should respect them. and stop discussing on them. theres so many things we can talk of, but WHY mus it be the replacement models ?

If the mods decide to close this thread. i will fully support the decision as i see that theres no point in continuing this thread. We should be discussing on factual products and problems and solutions to the current systems and not debate on the rumoured models.

The link I posted before is not linked to any manual. It only linked to an article from another site!!! That site has no link at all to Nikon D50/D70s manual. The Admin just delete any link at all without looking at what it is linked to.

By the way, I am a very mature person. It is the admin that is immature (or should I say, Kaisu).
