Actually I don't care if Nikon is coming out with D1~D1000. Or some 50 MP dslr.

I just want a Full Frame CCD that's all! 1.5 crop is taking its toll man. Paid so much for my 17-35 then can only kena 24mm angle... a bit bo hua. Then if I getting my 28-70, then again losing on the wide ends.

And verticle grip please.

My wish list:

Call it D(whatever) I don't care
but must have:

4-6 MP enough liao
FF CCD :lovegrin:
Verticle grip w shutter release butt
ISO 50-100 please

With FF CCD, it will be at least a minimum of 10MPs

Vertical grip with 4 batteries that can last at least a minimum of 10,000 shots, okie?

D50 sounds like a dumbed down version of D70.

More affordable maybe ~1k SIN ? (street price $900, hmmm.... :think: )
Maybe.....
only 4 mp ?
no ext flash hot shoe ?
less parameters eg no Adobe RGB ?
less ISO levels up to ISO800 only ?
no iTTL ?
no RAW ?
shutter speed only 2k ?
only 2 fps ?

BUT........ doing that will kill off their own prosumer product line like 8800, 8400.

anyway it's a very interesting model - D50, makes us think and guess.... haha :sweatsm:

on second thought, such config does not kill off the prosumer line of 8800 & 8400 b'cos it's only 4mp............
following the path of canon 300D (dumbed down of 10D) ?
D50 (more dumbed down of D70 to kick start everyone in DSLRs, time to get more profit from the nikkor lens..... hehe)

Thanks for your reminding, I mind bad listed or kick out from this forum soon, but I am a bit upset, I really don't want to see less and less Nikon market share, the result will be jack up the price for all Nikon users, e.g. Leica might be going to bankrupt soon. I think You and I are Nikon users for long time.

I read the book “The Innovator's Dilemma“ about how some innovation kill many big technology company by Professor Clayton Christensen (Harvard Business School), I really don’t want to see Nikon will be another one in his books. or someone might write a book "The Repackage Dilemma".

Actually don't be, I don't think Nikon will lose market share, probably gain it back now with the D50 as an entry level. As for them going to "S" their cameras, is still unknown why. We will have to wait and see.
