D300s users thread

I thought put your HCSD into the card slot of MacBook Pro should be everything auto?

I did that with my Nikon D60 photos, no problem... wondering D300s can or not...

I am using early 2008 mbp, I don't have SD card slot on mbp. Anyway, I transfer the photos from D300s to a XP laptop first and copy the files to a thumbdrive and finally copy to mbp. Its not my mbp, it's belong to my wife, I am a 4 years old Dell laptop.

You can always copy them words and paste it in YAHOO BABEL FISH to translate ...

There you can view 3 VDO's there ...

I upgraded from D80, the raw files is in a different format, 12bit and 14bit raw also can only be opened by captureNX 2.2 and above...
I downloaded adobe camera RAW 5.5 the plugin to photoshop to open my RAW files, not willing to pay the ~USD 180 for the captureNX leh..
else gotta shoot in JPG, 1 shot 1 kill

Btw today i rec a call from MS doing a survey for D300s users, did any of u guys rec similar calls? :think:

wat do u mean by "freely" sorry dun quite get u...
u can shoot in raw and convert using viewNX but u need the latest version of captureNX or Adobe Camera Raw (plugin to photoshop CS4) to edit...
Camera Raw is FOC but Photoshop CS4 need $$ i think 600++ USD

D90, D300 and I think the later cameras are able to do in-camera RAW to JPG conversion.

because I use Nikon D60 the RAW file can be view by macbook pro, I was wondering Nikon D300s's RAW file can be view freely (without purchase anymore software)...
So I think the answer is NEED $ FOR CAMERA AND SOFTWARE.

i still waiting the price drop la, 3 week ago one of the sim lim shop quoted me 2450, was estimating the price : )

Anyway Oly he buy whole set of stuff, If I were him I confirm bargain with those shopkeeper;p
