This is the eyepiece version with magnifier (1.22X and 1.36X), and this one is not original one from Nikon. Brand is Tianpa.

this one is not a magnifier...i've actually seen the product mounted on my cam body... i didn't buy eventually cos the alignment was skewed to the right...

when i tried the one earlier, supposed all 3 parts from nikon japan, comprising the eyecup(round piece), antifog glass(to be screwed onto the eyecup) and the slot-in adapter, the left view was obstructed and partically sheered off at the top and bottom corners...
unfortunately, the seller doesn't have another piece on him...thus, bo buay in the end...

this eyecup is superb for non bespectacled photographers..really blocks off all stray light from the sides...although does help a little with bespectacled users too...

Why not try to order again, I think he still have some stock in hand by now.
Mine is good. Don't have that problem.

After using it, I think it's not the perfect solution. But still better than the stock one.
All D700/D3 series & film SLRs with such viewfinders are the best ones around.

(Nikon: if you read this, please design viewfinders what consumers really love) :sweatsm:
