Demb is very different from light scoop. I happen to have the demb jumbo. Very flexible. And works different. The external flash will bounce the light up, and the reflector will push some of that light forward. The amount of light push forward will be controlled by the angle of the reflector. The diffuser in front will soften some of the light.
The light scoop just bounces all the light from the pop-up flash up. No light is pushed forwards.
I haven't seen it in stores. And I haven't seen any copy version in the stores in China as well. The R-strap copy is already out in china. It is called the Q-strap.

What are the main differences in effects between the lightscoop and from a external Flash bouncing off the ceiling wall?
Lightscoop will bounce everything up only. And when you shoot in portrait mode it will only bounce to one side.
With an external flash, you can bounce at different angles according to the angle of the head you adjust the head. Meaning, you can bounce it up, at an angle, bounce at the wall behind... etc. Plus, the external flash is more powerful than your pop-up flash.

The price are pretty standard for D300s for most outlets. U can just call up to ask..
Cathay, M.S. Colors, A.P. etc.. Remember to ask for names whe you give them a call.
Give TK a call too. Got a very competitive price from them 3 mths back.

You can even try any camera shop and use your SD or CF card to take pictures.
Im sure they're okay if you ask nicely ...
you can even try out yur friends 300s, if they own it ...

got my D300s 2 weeks ago and need to ask a noob question. when I have set my cam in shutter priority mode, the shutter speed is always at X250 or X320 or slower shutter speed regarding of what i turn the commend dial. How so i set it to higher shutter speed? what did i miss out?

see User's manual: D300S page 281 or D300 Page 288
X250 is used to lock the shutter speed to 1/250s, the max sync speed for flash. If x320, that means you set your max sync speed is set to 1/320 instead of 1/250.
