they will record the receipt number and vendor. your friend will not be able to use back the same receipt to register or get service.
Not really. He can claim he BOUGHT the lens from the other person mah.
Your friend can still take the receipt to re-register/get service. There is nothing to stop the him from asking the Nikon Service Centre to change the registration name based on the receipt number/vendor as he can claim he bought the lens from the last owner. Is there any rules against selling of lens? The lens can change hands many times mah....
for sure he can. but the original date of the invoice stands and the serial number is noted as well.
example, invoice date is 1st may 2008 with flash and lens indicated on it. you bring an older flash to register with this invoice. your friend can't register his flash with this invoice if something goes wrong but he can still register his lens.
Anyway, there is no difference whether the item is under warranty or not, they just have to tell you that there is corrosion found in your service item.... you still LL and have to pay thru your nose for replacement parts. This happened to me even though the item was still working except for 1 of its functions. ......... Quote : There is a small spot of corrosion on the PCBA. Now all new D 300 only come with 30 Days Trial Version of the NX Capture as I have a friend who work in Cathay

if I am not wrong, initial when nikon launched the D300, the NX cature was a full working version then some where along the road , Nikon decided to change them to a trial.:dunno:

The 30-d trial version is NX2. Full version formerly part of package was NX.
The full version was only a promo for the first dunno how many thousand sets.
