hmm, looks like they will never be able to allow the D300 to automatically sense the color gels used on the sb-900 like what d3 or d700 can...
Hopefully they have a change of mind and include that in the next update.

Check if you have put the firmware at the right level. Remember to put only the A firmware v1.10 first at the top-most level in the card. You should be able to see the "Update" option available. After updating A firmware, delete it and put in only B firmware v1.10 also at the top-most level, if using the same card.
Thanks for the info! just updated my cam. need to take some shots to see the improvements
As stated on Nikon site, need to turn off & on the camera after firmware update.
The algorithm for contrast detection AF in LV is 'improved' to be much faster. However, now my Sigma lens is no longer as sharp as it could be with the old algorithm... No problems with Nikkors though..
What it does now is to focus past the in focus point and then back track slowly. The Sigma lens had some play (looseness) so the back tracking is not precise.
I found that after the firmware update, the AF is more accurate. What I mean by that is that what used to be AF Fine Tuning at +10 is now at +5 to +7. I had to do a AF Fine Tuning with all my lenses again, and found that I had to adjust it to lesser amounts than before... and that is a change I've noticed.
ahahahaa
tune again:bsmilie:
Do you guys feel that AWB is greatly improved? I find that mine worsen.
The image rendition is not as good as previous version too. Anyone have these issues?
Anyway, check with you guys, does resetting of camera factory settings revert back firmware version to initial factory version? Please advise
