D300 accessories

where is NSC? I wanna buy the vertical grip as xmas present but not sure if stocks will come in in time. i called up a few of the popular camera shops but all say not sure when stocks will be in and no indication of price yet. any one has any lobangs, pls let me know asap. tks.

It's probably going to be standard for some models to come. In the past, the motor drive model numbers doesn't tally with the camera model number also.

Expensive... thus explains the :bheart: ... D80's grip only abt $180 that about.. kinda shock acutally..

well... it is made of Mag alloy... so it should cost more.... + the additional focal pt selector..

Not sure bout D300, but on my D3... my Lexar CF8Gb 300x sure is faster than my Extreme IV.
I'm testing it against shooting Jpeg large at 11 frames per second. manage to squeeze in 4 more pic as compare to my Extreme IV.
And as for Card to PC, am using the Firewire UDMA card reader on my Mac Pro.

I think Extreme IV is 266X while their Ducati version is faster..

Any reliablity issue with Lexar?? Everyone seem to be using Sandisk..

I called Nikon sales line and asked. They gave me a fuzzy answer and said mid-month. I probed a bit further and they gave me a 'maybe this weekend'. They told me the price is around S$400.

i just called them too... and the rep just told me it's not available any time soon. did u call a dealer or NSC themselves? :think:

Looks like I can bring the entire D300 + all its accessories to this saturday outing to lelong lelong...sure can sell within 3 minutes

The grip is one of the best so far. Builtin 4 way pointer and EN-EL4a battery last like there is no tomorrow
