Minor improvements and welcome upgrade. Bjorn Rorslett short review give a lot of insights to the new D2xs. What's good is the dimming of the viewfinder in HSC mode and perhaps the bigger buffer size. Well done Nikon!

There was already a W-screen focusing grid designed for HSC, but the automated darkening is a better choice.

If you read thru the specifications, there are hardware changes involved, it is much more than just a firmware upgrade, the AF module likely need changing.
