Anyone can tell me is there a chance that D200's official launch before the christmas?

If it's sufficient then good for you, I sure have other needs on the D200 that the D70 cannot fulfill.

What no brainer stuff? you make perfect sense.

Early adopters have the opportunities to play with new cameras first but being first carries with it a higher depreciation slide.

what do you mean by kit?.... with 18-200 VR?....

Wow, that is a good price for the body and depending on what kit lens is bundled, if that price is accurate it would make the kit lens just under S$1,000.

Not sure which lens will it come with. Checked on Nikon's Japan website, it says something like ED 18-70mm F3.5-4.5Ｇ（??).

If the above info is correct, guess it better to buy the body only, unless kit comes with something else.

Never go with the exchange rate calculators. Safer is to go by the the bank`s rates and tune it from there.
