Plus, some magazines called D80 as entry level/beginner DSLR.....if you care about they call this DSLR, sure you will go for D200.....(actually i also take this as one of the reason to go for D200..:sweatsm: )

Good reason, lot of ppl bring a DSLR cam just to show they're pro liao, esp D200 strap have t model name printed on it  .
IMO, (D)SLR are for you to take greatest photos by it's superior photographic capability, it's not a normal cam or for show only, if u want to go DSLR then go for t best u can afford, remember this is an expensive hobby if u really want to enter. For ppl who just wanna take normal travel photos or scared ab the weight of DSLR, i strongy recommend to buy a prosumer compact cam which can suit your needs most time, JPG image quality are comparable to DSLR for good models.

Few week before this, I compared Nikon D80 with Canon 30D coz their price is very close. After referring to some photography forum in Malaysia and Singapore, I've changed my mind and decided to get the Nikon D200. Why? You may refer to some previous threads and there are some similar threads posted before.

First of all, the main consideration is still $$$ budget la :dunno: bo pian..haha...Then Nikon D200 is 5fps and it is bigger in dimension (I think all photographers out there will prefer a bigger DSLR, coz it will make them look more PRO...agree?:D ). Then, the image is more crisp and saturate if compare to D80.....(my personnal opinion).....

Brothers, Fully agree with the feel when holding D200

Thanks for all the above sharing good points for me to consider.

I prefer the feel of D200 personally and I will be using my 2 old Tokina f2.8 lens which i use during film SLR for the body only-D80 or D200. Hopefully the heavier D200 can even out with better holding & feeling during shoot compare over D80.

One of the reason I prefer Nikon over Canon- the holding feel and also the outstanding colour from Nikon.

Go for a good photo print shop and you will see the different, I alway visit a shop and they won many awards for photo developing, you pay for pro colour collection service. :o "cos I don't like PP and dont belive in paying so much for the cam still need PP. Think and set the cam right when we shoot is better then PP, that the fun of taking photo rather then PP expert" my opinion hee....

I didn't buy any flash during film day and I'm not considering to get the SB600 or SB800 now, I got a good stand and happy with the combination.

so which is the shop that has won many awards for photo developing?
can share the name and location of the shop ?

what's the current price for D80?

I believe PP for DSLR is a necessity compared to film, very difficult to escape from PP. I own a D70s and color wise I don't think it's actually that fantastic out of the box, unless you fine-tune the settings or import a custom curve, but then this is actually a sort of auto PP done by the camera. With digital, more of the PP control has shifted into the hands of the photographer rather than the print lab.

Konota at Peninsula Tel: 63334492 they adjust the photo colour to skin tone i think it is important while the best shot and best PP will be a waste it we just go to a lousy photo developing.

Looking at the photo is much better then looking at computer and that how we can tell our improvement just like the old film day.:)
