I don't understand why you keep spreading that the wide angle converter is 599... think you must be quoting it in another currency... I know it is 250SGD because I bought one from sony gallery... either that or you are looking at the conversion lens for R1 instead.

There is a VCL-HG0758 and a VCL-DH0758, one is for R1, the other for H1

OMG, it definitely isn't your fault. It's quoted on SonyStyle for S$590! Does the Woodlands one include accessories like they do for the VCL-DH0730 (lens cap for front and back, and carrying case)? (and where is Woodlands?). I hope they didn't mistakenly tag it!

ironically, it's at west coast and not at woodlands... there's a sony gallery there.. it's the same price across singapore i guess so you can just visit any of them to find out..

That's for V3 if i'm not wrong, besides.. the lens is 30mm wide and even if u get an adaptor to step down, the vignetting will kill u..

All the lens from sony comes with leather pouch and lens cap for front and back... well, at least for those that i looked into..

Like I mention before, the place is at west coast and not woodlands.. it's ironic that the shop name is woodlands when it is situated in west coast. anyway, i'm sure you can grab the lens at similar price at any sony gallery shop in singapore..

visit the website and you notice that Woodlands Domestic Electrical Pte Ltd is located in clementi.. so don't go woodlands ppl!! just find one convenient and i think the prices are the same. wait you guys come back and kill me when u wasted a trip there..

Just today I bought at MS Color at Ang Mo Kio thanks to a very nice gentleman here who suggested I call them (though in afterthought it's best to get an e-mail quote and get a print out of the quote though haha); I dealt with Mr. Willie today, who was quite helpful:

DSC-H1 for S$680
VCL-DH07598 Wide Angle Conversion Lens for S$220

(these prices are all GST included, therefore I save at least S$439 as compared to what I'd get at Sony Style (w/o GST) - cash/NETS only)

Note: They said it is the last of their current stock (for both items), so anyone who wants to buy might have to wait for a while. I reserved mine and claimed it a few hours later haha.

They also have a voucher for an extra pair of batteries as well as a 512mb MS Pro to claim at the nearest Sony showroom (nearest one to them is Bishan Junction 8 L2). I think this deal lasts till mid-March. He also gave me a freebie lens protector.

The place is really close to AMK MRT, just cross the street and head to the right towards the food court.

Hope this helps other prospective buyers.

ISO up to 1000, LCD up to 3", resolution up to 7.2mp and the lens is Carl Zeiss lens instead of Sony lens.

Think the H1 price may fall further since it's going to be replaced soon.
