cs slowing down again??

hi mods/admin,

i've seem to noticed that the connection speed to CS is getting rather slow again, especially at night.

There are a few "monster" threads, with over 1000+ posts currently. Are these contributing to the problem? If they are, perhaps they should be split up,before the server crashes like the last time.

Same observation here. The slowdown is very apparent at night. Daytime no problem

It starts exactly 10pm and ends about 12am......I have been like that for couple of weeks.

Whether it's singtel, Starhub or pacnet.....all sama sama.

We are aware of the slowdown and will be commissioning a new, more powerful server soon to address this and other performance niggles. Its time to retire that old server which has served us well for the last 3 years.

During the upgrade, it's a good time to harden and patch up security too.
