Har I know this place!... heh

Great Electric bicycle was already a bad enough idea and now even the use of your %!@^%# finger to shift gear also need POWER ASSISTED to move a gear up or down.

How much more lazy does people indulging in "SPORTS" need to be. Might as well get a maid to cycle for you while you plomp your fat hiney on the couch and pig out watching fit cyclist race the Tour de France on tv. More then 20 yrs of cycling.. I never thought I see the day. WIMPS...something really wrong with the world these days.

Is there something really wrong with the world?

When we can see the goodness of the Ultimate, we can see
our own uncleanliness including all the possibiities of
frustration created in the world for future pain and sorrow.
Not that we should not explore our vision but the value of
our vision should strengthened mankind in all areas not
destroy it. :)

Not uncommon to see your so called heavy weight doughnut munching couch potatoes riding on their latest carbon everything bikes.

Not uncommon for them to be believe that losing bike weight is more important than losing own weight.

But as of every hobby, it depends on what you are intending to get out of it, and whatever tickles you.

Good observation Ryan, I almost dropped to my toes whenever I stumbled
upon a heavy weight clinging to his carbon roadie and the action of mounting
himself on the saddle before pedalling off is a scene that should be
remembered for its great humour especially to the introduction and the purpose
of cycling. On the other hand the off road diehards are just as heavy as they
had been since starting the hobby three years ago. :)

SRAM Red definitely looks more trick compared to Dura-Ace.

haha... bro... do give me a good quotation for SRAM red with Aero R2C shifters... 10 speed... ;)
seeya soon... hopefully can come down tomorrow evening...

cheers

Actually there is no wrong also la. More than once in the occassion when i cycle along Lornie-Serangoon area, i encountered this fully geared dude with mega beer bell punishing his Cervelo. But he looks happy. I mean sometimes the an important part of cycling is the enjoyment, who are we to criticize. Nonetheless amusing.

I think for most cycling folks , it is probably not too easy to burn as much energy as say running per unit time unless it is done at an extremely competitive level.

Keep ur stuffs coming guys. Cycling is serious fun.
Maybe tmr I will cycle to work again, and talk half day off to wander

Ryan

Are you ready to start learning about cycling seriously?

All of a sudden we been awaken of the seriousness of cycling... exactly like when we
first fell in love with a hobby or a person you married. All you can remember
no other hobby or members of the opposition were not that interesting to us
anymore. To get to the ultimate goal of what you want, there is one thing you
have to do. You either pay the price now and enjoy later, or you enjoy now and pay
the price later..... So are you all ready to start the trail now? :);)

Most people feel that riding a bike is taking a risk

For those who are still not sure of taking up that courage to
go and get a bike and start learning to ride and laugh at those
who took that risk and appearing like the fool or even stupid
thinking about those who weep after a fall I remember General
Douglas MacArthur said that "there is no security on this earth"
The way we think about it is that there is only opportunity and
adventure only if we know how to fill our days of emptiness
with a passion for service for yourself and for your country. :)

Hi all

Its me again. wanna seek your opinion..

Saw this Polygon Helios F300 costs the same as Diamondback Insight 2!
Do you foresee any problems riding PCN on a flatbar roadbike?

This is more a rant about the people who come up with such devices more then about the idea that someone overweight can not get on a bike. This was more about inventions that does more harm then good. Just because you can does not mean you should. The whole idea that even in the ideal of an active physical activity, equipment are invented to optimize your ability to engage yourself physically be it to keep really fit or just have a good time, you need something as silly as an electronic gear shifter to make a few more bucks. For sure there will be a lot who will clamor for it like an ipad. But really...when is too far... really too 'far'. Already we have so many electric bike being rode into four foot way of shophouses like they own it. Zip on footpath and honking at people to move away. I am all for people getting on a bike and just enjoy riding.. in whatever physical shape or form. But thing like that just does not need to exist... I am only talk about the technology that has gone so wrong. For lazy people .. nah that is not my 'beef'. heheheheh

It's wise to do more research before putting your money on a good bike.
Look like the Polygon Helios F300 has a higher grade components than
the Diamondback Insight 2. Equipped with the carbon fork and Tiagra
front and rear derailleur will give you more value for your investment.

You can easily get it on the PCN and so can a roadbike with dropbars
except that you have to execute different discipline as compare to a cyclist
on a MTB with thicker tires. I love the colour (red and white), it's cool,
clean and attractive. For the same amount of investment I'll take the F300.

The bike weights less than 11kg is a hot favourite among FB fans.

:) Can be a good choice for your first hybrid.

"Inventions that does more harm then good"
True! Even those popular video games also play a great part in creating
human laziness. For parents with younger children video games can be
just as addictive and harmful as taking drugs. Because of these
inventors, people soon began to adapt to making the simple things
more simpler, and other forms of entertainment and including excerise
such as cycling and participation in sports requiring human efforts seems
far fetched to many. :(

But modern technology also shares the blame with the requirement to
work hard with long hours. To catch up with perceived good living
lifestyle people have little free time because most of us spend most
of the time working. Once we reach home, the only thing we want to
do is to relax and to be in a lazy manner. Instead of cooking, the fast
food restaurants are preferred and to think of going for an exercise
is a painful thought for many.

To address the issue of cyclists not obeying proper road behaviour when
riding on any kind of bikes (electric or manual) the authority has to initiate
the required campaign and communication to the public just like what they
had done for the proper use of the electric bike. :)

Don't just post pics - How Much is the Polygon Helios F300?
Still looking for a ride that is under 3-500.

Looks like I am too cheapo or my budget is simply too low...
Just need a comfortably road bike for my little trips around Pierce Reservoir... no big rides as I hate the painful feel after a long ride...
