Start riding the PCN experience now!

Whenever I introduce cycling to my friends and colleagues I received
a very negative response or attitude towards the activity pointing out that it is
dangerous to ride with the heavy traffic and especially with the attitude that the
buses and taxis have on cyclists.

However most of them have never even heard of the Park Connector Network
which was built more than a decade ago and is still ongoing. Below you can
see the result of that idea making cyclist to have a safe ride lushed with greenery
and breeze. You can even download the eGuides for the cycling trail including
the OAD Map for the Eastern Coastal Park Connector Network (ECPCN)

You can even read the enewsletter regarding all the activities and events
happening at PCN.

Enjoy your recreational cycling to the fullest,
Start riding the PCN. It is built for all who enjoy cycling!
The govt has promised us that by 2014 the island will be ready with cycling
lane all over the island.:)

Thanks Ryan for the info. The IF Mode is very attractive and light at around 14kg. I wonder if it can be brought into the bus or MRT after
it is folded. Do you have the max size for folding bicycle that can brought into bus and the MRT?

Here is an SMRT guide from their website :
http://www.smrt.com.sg/trains/documents/RTS (foldbike)_2009.pdf
A folded IF mode seems to fail a little on the 66cm regulation end hehe ( but to top it off, there is also some off peak - peak hr regulation thing )

Bus i do not know, but last time there was a Fold-It-Ride-It trial some time back.

The IF is interesting, and alot of funkier designed full size foldable commuters mirror somewhat its concept as well

Ryan what will this bike cost?

Dunno how much locally, but it seems probably ard US$2,700 from the site, retail / GST +/-

From the above specs given by Pacific, it seems there isn't much components
to upgrade except the saddle, tires, disc brake, chain and headset for this
dual speed system. I don't know whether the local agent is willing to bring in
one for you since Walker is rather new to the industry if I am not wrong!

The one attractive point about the IF mode for me is the freggin trispoke wheels . I think if switch into a pair of HED3s will be amazing

Ryan, what is the HED3s you are referring to? Any images for reference? Maybe order them online and asked Pacific to do the upgrading.

More likely having all the odds from trispoke to carbon spoke is fancy in a manner.
The joy of going with a group to East Coast via the PCN you only need a market
bike costing less than a hundred bucks.

They dun sell it on the bmw online shop anymore. Pete maybe if u get urself an M3 ride , then beamer dudes will offer u the M3 bicycle.

Do you think the best bike is the one you build yourself?

Maybe bicycle lovers will be fascinated to learn how they can build their own bike and
customize it for their own size and components. I wonder the bamboo bike craze
will ever catch on in Singapore. Any bicycle entrepreneur's dream of getting a
workshop organised?

That's something you want if you can afford it. Beautiful..........;)

I would advise against putting money down on this thing. Too much money for a so-so only frame.

The black part like using masking tape to tape the bike like that .. no offences though ..

Mini-velo bikes like that of the Japanese Tyrell is ideal for urban Singapore. Compact, light and fast and can easily come close to 700C road bike speeds.
The Tyrell FX is foldable and the workmanship is stunning. Only 8.9kg for the stock bike!!! The Tyrell is easily the most desired mini-velo bike in Japan.
