We are worth so little on the road.

I guess we pay no road tax, COEs, Petrol and spend time buying liquor that we are only worth a small fine and few years driving ban.
Forget about cycling to stay healthy for nation building or going green or contribute positively to ease traffic road congestion.
Freaking drunks trumps sober folks.

Be safe fellow cyclist.....

welcome to 2014 !! that's a 2012 news !!! you should buddy up with uncleFei

I already have a car try to buddy up to me and my back wheel while cycling just last week. It would have been worst if I did not sense him driving up behind me as he turn out instead of waiting for me to clear of his way and I had the right of way.

Okay.. maybe this one is a bit more current. Just a reminder for cyclist to be safe and at the same time ..cyclist also don't be a nuisance to others too.

Riding across pedestrian crossing or zebra crossing is seeking your own death as it greatly reduces the reaction time of the driver.

On top of that, they mostly try to beat the pedestrian light as they thought they are fast. I never pity this kind of accident as they should dismount n push, not cycle over it.

the traffic light was at pedestrian/cyclist advantage. whether he walk or push, will still get knock down. it's pretty obvious the driver was driving recklessly.

there's a video on this accident , search for it.

If push, he/she can avoid the accident. The driver miss judge on he/she is over his car and then, move on and hit the rear of the bicycle and send him/her flying.

When I was learning driving, I encounter such case but luckily, instructor jam brakes and save the boy life else I still hit him even I turning slow. Because he enters my blind spot when I am turning and he just dash across on his bicycle.

Top Peak Dual Touch. Been using it for many years for my 2 bikes. Not cheap, but you'll get a quality stand for your bike

If you want cheaper, can search for it in Qoo10 or Taobao, but not sure how good those are.

Has anyone bought one of these Deeper Foldable Bikes?

Priced under $300 I think..

And any place that you know sell it?

My redone Raleigh MV8

Raleigh MV8 by jenkwang, on Flickr

Just want a commute that works but can still go at a good speed if I want w/o spending too much which is a risk since I do leave it around.

Raleigh MV 8 (DIY paint job)
Changed to dropbars for headwind riding and speed.
Road style brake levers for the bars
8sp Trigger shifter retained (saves costs, easy to use, don't need more gearing)
60T chainring (to make up for 8sp cassette )
FSA Gossammer crank
20' 'Star Hubs' wheelset
Brown 'sack' as a rear rack bag.
