hey, the brooks is not that bad la... when i ride the initial times with padded shorts, it doesnt hurt much.. however the leather surface is very slippery, and i had a hard time try & error to get the saddle nose angle right, right now my saddle nose is tilted upwards, so tt my butt will rest on the wider part of the saddle..
i got all 3 from hong kong at 800HKD each, abt SGD 133 each

I can't say that its much use for more serious enthusiasts.
The cycle paths as they are now are a joke for anyone who is into more serious cycling (or commuting a decent distance at above 15kmh).
Up down curbs, stop push, carry over bridges, dis-jointed links, etc.
These only appeal to the more casual, slower cyclists (in which that report mostly interviewed to make it look good)
Anyone who does 20+km/hr won't enjoy the ride nor are they supposed to use these connectors anyway for theirs and the public's safety (speed limit is 15km anyway)
The worst will be that one day, the self pat on the back transport ministry will hail these paths a success and make everyone use them.
Yesterday I got a flat tire while riding with my 3 year old son at the intersection of Serangoon road and Kallang PCN (near Serangoon x PIE). It's in the middle of nowhere with no sight of any bike shop.
I tried to wave so many taxis but all refused as soon as they see my bike.
But luckily there was this nice driver stop by. To my surprise, he asked me to put the bike in the back row as the trunk cannot fit the bike with child seat on.
We struggled to fit it in with one wheel removed and some padding on the seat. Mr Teo Sheng Huat (SHB 2286Z) was a rescuer for my son and I. I paid him double the fare to show my appreciation and not sure if it's enough.
How do you guys prevent such thing from happening? Not sure if I'll be that lucky next time
If you happen to get a flat around there next time, just cross the road to bendemeer road HDB flats. There is a bike shop there named "Choo Seng" at BLK 47 Bendemeer road.
no choice, casual cyclists still far outnumber serious enthusiasts so this is for that segment of the population

I have seen a lot of cyclist riding on the road on the right lane and riding like a motorcycle. Very dangerous and puts every one at risk.
I feel that if they want to die, please do not drag other people and die with you (ie the driver who suay suay knocks onto you)
I think the police should really look into this issue of errant cyclists, esp those with electric bikes.

I think MP still lives in policemen wearing bemudas era, where a bicycle was as important as a car to the poor.
Or
she has been tasked to make some more revenue since its official policy not to be loss making.

When we encounter something challenging, the quickest solution is via payment. ERP for Tiong Babru! Some ERP traffic is so low yet operating.
In my humble opinion, any road user must abide by the road traffic rules. If you are in the park, observe safety rule. Cyclist want motorist to be considerate but when they cycle on pavement and park, do they consider for pedestrian? So, it is back to basic on how we educate our people from young. Academic result is important but how about the rest?

many people think posting in facebook is expressing oneself,
