I have a 7 million dollar home but found the shoulder pad quite poorly designed, keeps slipping off my shoulder. Anyone has the same problem? Any recommended non-slip shoulder pad to be used with this bag? Thanks.

No problem with mine though, the shoulder pad rests the way it should be.

I'm thinking of the Brazilian dollar home bag. It serves as a backpack and shoulder bag. Pretty ideal for travelers.

As I understand crumplar is made of pretty strong material, will it add tremendous weight to the shoulders? Does the padding gives a well distribution of weight?

Hi, i had the opportunity to see the real Brazilian Dollar and it isn't exactly a light bag. However i can't recall if it is heavier than my Whickey and Cox.
The first time i came into contact with the Whickey and Cox, i was shocked by it's weight. It is really heavy with all the padding. The padding works decently, but still, one can feel the weight after carrying it around.

I wondered if anyone changed the bag straps to the weight reducing ones, say by Optech. I am quite tempted to do so since the default one doesn't do that very well.

basically the water can't really penetrate the bag... like 80% block out... :)

i have the 7MDH too.. ya, the fabric is water resistant, but then at the very sides got one slot at each side that are outside the flaps rite? those cannot be protected by the flaps or the top cover ya? i scared in heavy rain these two slots will collect water..

erm.. you know what slots im talking about rite? :D

Seems that Crumpler has discontinued their laptop+camera shoulder bags. Do you guys think it's possible to slot a 12" laptop in the 7MDH?

Of cos it's possible but u must remove the internal partitions. It's even large enough for a 15.4" laptop.

Possible to rearrange the inserts to also fit in a dslr and accessories?

Yes. U just either leave the whole front or rear part of the bag empty for your laptop. But of cos space for DSLR and accessories will be limited.

hmmm... normally it'll be my 20D with a 17-85 and another 85mm, if not a lens and an external flash.

when i'm feeling lazy to carry my bigger bag, i'll just squeeze in my 70-200 at the bottom and place the partition ontop of it and then place my body and/or 17-85 as well... ;)

extra battery and CF cards, HP, iPod all can fit too..

Haha, I went to try out the bags at the Crumpler store my self and gosh, the Brazilion Dollar Home is waaaaay too huge for someone of my frame. Crumpler should seriously consider coming up with a 8 million dollar home that includes a laptop slot. :bsmilie:

ha ha,ya the brazilion dollar last time i try, it look like i'm a baby carry father's big bag. May be u try the national geographic bags ?
