Been looking forward to participating in CB but can't make it this year (I saw this thread early yesterday). Maybe next year. :)

Anyway, based on the itinerary, the last day appears to be in Cebu. For those who have some spare time/days to burn, I'd suggest hopping over to nearby Bohol. It's only about an hour's ferry/boat ride away from Cebu and offers beautiful white sand beaches (in Panglao Island), majestic falls (i.e. Can-umantad Falls), wonderful sceneries (i.e. Chocolate Hills etc), a marine sanctuary (ie Balicasag Island) for those who want to snorkel and/or are into scuba diving.

It's rich in history too. You'll find lots of ancestral homes/houses and centuries old churches (ie Baclayon Church). A haven for those who like to dabble in HDR.

I was there with my family sometime in Dec 2007 for 4 days. Stayed in an el-cheapo lodging house for 500 bucks per night (about S$15) for a room (can accomodate about 3). Transportation wise, you can book a van with driver upon arrival at the pier (airport/ferry terminal). We paid 4500 bucks (about S$135) for a spacious aircon van that could accomodate 11 (mix of adults and kids) and that amount was for throughout the duration of our stay (inclusive of driver and petrol). :)

Currency wise, try getting your Pesos here in SG. 1 SGD is about 33 pesos last time I checked.

Enjoy! Have fun. :)

:Later,

Any idea what are the likely venues for the next 3 years?

Hi Yusuf here from PhotoMalaysia. Haven't logged on here for ages. I'm leaving for Bangladesh tomorrow morning on one of our PhotoSafari Trips and I'll be trying to persuade the Bangladeshi Photography group to send two representatives as guests to this year's CB7. I met them three weeks ago when I was there doing the recce, and they seemed eager to joining our ever expanding Crossing Bridges project. If they do come, then we can try to persuade them to be the hosts for CB8 next year. If they wont, maybe I can volunteer to be the organizer for next year, and we can do the CB8 in Bangladesh, which is a haven for photographers. You can see some of my snapshots HERE shot when I was there recently.
Hope to meet all my old friends from Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam & Philipines soon.

I am going to meet some old and new friends. See you all there.

Sorry Mooworld, am removing you from the list ...... just realized that you've had all of one post (and to this thread some more) in your 6 years at Clubsnap

PLEASE DO NOT fill in names in the 2 slots ......... I have been advised to offer the 2 remaining slots preferably first-timers to Crossing Bridges and folks who are active in the forum
Will check the wait list and advise by PM

FYI, budget airline Cebu Pacific kicked off a 50% off promo yesterday, and it covers the travel dates for this event.

Good luck with the booking!
