if u guys want to support apple, you should consider zen micro. otherwise apple would not wake up to design more powerful mp3 player for a lower price.
Think far ahead dude!

duh... support apple means buy apple products... why don't you support creative by buying MORE apple products. :blah:

seriously Apple products are more stylish, but for this Ipod and Creative's MP3 player, i think Creative's one won (for now) coz it seems that it looks nice (Apple's still wins here) but the playtime, battery type used and size win over Ipod.... This is only what i think, personally i am still holding on to some old MP3 player...

rich xia..... one for each ear ah?

I don't own the iPod but I am all out disappointed with creative's products.

Bought a creative mini-optical mouse.. the buttons failed in less than 6 months. And not mine only.. those friends that bought with me had the same probs. Bought a CD-MP3 player from creative. In 2 months, the LCD stopped working intermittently and remote cannot control the player.

Go iPod

How nice if there are 3rd party batteries for the Ipod (juz now digital cameras).. at a fraction of wat Apple offers... can I suggest 2 EastGear?

Shuffle! Shuffle! Shuffle! :sticktong

there is 3rd party batt for ipod out there

how much they selling for 3rd party? sorri for my ignorance

no idea, have to search thru other mac forums to find out

Well I had mine for about a week now... Bought it at Funan Asia Pacific at S$435 (I think, definite around S$432 to S$439) So far so good. :D

I luv it's sound, a much more better sound then an iPod. Bass and treble is excellent, and it has 9 different preset equalizer plus your own custom one.

Package includes:
earphone (excellent quality), player, remote, pouch, a holder which has a back attachable table stand or belt clip, batt, layard, manual, and warranty (abt that)

The touch pad is cool in feel and grt experience. Its fine with me, but diff from person to person would luv it or dislike. But Apple's iPod rotates much more ideal though (if follows really copy liao).

A cool neat feature: It can partition it's harddisk (in 128MB/256MB/512MB/1GB/1.5GB/2GB) to store your files.

Downside is probably the radio reception that is not that good as compared to a dedicated portable radio. You probably need to find a location with good recept and hang on that spot. But still... managable... The batt life claim to
be 12hrs listening... But with a full charge so far I dun seems to able to hit that far. Maybe only 8 to 9 hrs... Or perhaps I didn't notice abt the batt performance so much as I listen during travel daily and juz added them up in times.

Mine is a beautiful white color, and the design is really quality and beautiful. Dosen't hv the flimsy and cheap plastic feel... It's a rock solid texture, especially the back glossy part. But becareful that this glossy part may scratch, mine already had some fine hair lines running. Recommend to keep it in the pouch always. The pouch that comes along (silky touch) is rather small to contain the player, earphone & controller. You may wants to get a bigger one for it to put everything in.

Overall... It's a good buy... A diffinite recommend...!!! Well done for Creative this time.

Grade: 4.5 out of 5

you call this a feature? sounds more liek a limiting factor. after all music files are still files....should be transparent. the more songs you store the less space you have available for files and vice versa. dont need partitioniong to help me do this.

so.....lousy radio? less than 12 hours of battery life? hmm...how does it make it better than an ipod then?

duh....

don't like it, don't use it. it's an option that's available. others may appreciate the option.

The Zen may have more features but I'm still a sucker for Ipod's design ... ;)

Strange that no one mentioned anything about 3rd-party accessories :(

We all are brother......

Its the Style vs Functionality, Domko vs Lowepro.... ;p

so you agree that you cant use fm radio and battery to say zen better than ipod right? so comparing zen vs ipod and ipod mini, zen still lose badly on design and ease of use. ;)
