If I may.....
my purpose of posting my purchase deal here is for the sole purpose of contributing back to the forum. During my research and sourcing of a good deal for the NEX5n, the information posted by other forumers saved me a lot of leg work and effort.

Not everyone is as keen to pay RRP for a product knowing that you can get a better deal elsewhere. IMHO, if a person just want a good deal for a product, that does not constitute "kiasu".

Don't get me wrong, but I do salute those who only pay RRP for their purchase and thank them greatly for contributing more (at least compared to me) to the economy and government tax revenue.

I'm sorry you mis-understood that I was referring to you, what I meant was that even with your sharing news of the goodies, there are people who are trying to do better as if the goal of getting the camera is to see who got the best deal. (not refering to anyone in this thread in particular ) ...thats the feeling I got reading the whole thread from post #1.

I am also a pentax k-5 user, i think having the same crop will make the usage of lens easier across two platforms. The Nex also served as a high quality p&S for my wife!

e-pm1 for single kit is around 780 ++
twin kit is close to 1 k.

hehe can't wait for my adapter to come so i can use my pentax limited lens on them!

Don't be surprised the NEX 5N handles manual focusing better than K5 and don't be shocked the IQ is better than K5.

yeah you may be right, but i think k-5 still have its place. one thing most obvious thing i observe thus far is the battery life and ergonomics.

will continue to play with both of them and use them for different scenarios

Think it will be a joy to use the pentax lens on both system.

No but it might be cheaper to sell the 16mm coz the retail price for that alone is already $399.

De extra u pay for de dual lens kit is less than de amount u can get selling it on bns. So better to get de dual lens kit and sell de 16mm if u sure u dun need it. U have nothing to lose.

Yup and even the difference of the suggested retail price is only $100 so it's probably even less on the street.
