I am thinking of getting a D200 too. But the D80 is coming out in 6 days time? Is August 9 the product launch date (ie. available in shops?).

Does it mean the D80 will make the D200 obsolete? ;p

Go for the D200...

The D80 would be a good choice for those with D50's or 70's who want to upgrade.

Aug 9 is launch of the product pricing and stuff...but does not mean it will hit stores on that day...

Get the D200 and you will not even bother to take a look at the new D80...:think:

Only 5 more days to wait out. Then, can decide if I were to get this new D80 or go for the D200 or just do nothing and continue to play with my trusty, reliable and lovable D70.

Apart from the upped pixel count, I doubt there is any "big bang" this time. Small little wee bit of improvement here and there, I guess.

I have to see the price and specs of the D80 before deciding to sell my D70s.
Suspect that there wouldn't be much difference, then no point upgrading.
