yo guys,

found my dad's yashica camera here.. too bad it isn't working anymore. err, should i banish it to be with the antiques or it's worth salvaging?

I have that. I bought one off BNS. And fixed it myself. :)

oooh! any reasons why it attracted u?? film = high cost and worse still if its spoilt.. :sweat:

Hmm, well, it attracted me, because i like collecting old stuff and i like using film. The Body was in good condition, but the insides were pretty messed up. The winding knob was broken. Several components faulty. Metering useless. Got it at a good deal though. Took sometime to repair as it's an old camera. Got the blueprints from Malaysia, Malacca. There's this shop there, that does reconditioning of really old cameras.

You should. 20 years down the road, you can show this to your children. By then, film would be a rare thing to have.
 


this guy is good! met him while i was in KL airport waiting to board AA. actually i dunno him, just that i saw him using a big TT bag and we started to chat abt TT stuffs. exchanged biz cards and only to know his background when i was already at home.
